Book Club at the End of the World is a small, non‑professional, sci‑fi fanzine documenting the reading of a long‑running book club called The Book Club at the End of the World. Issues include book reviews, essays, and original hand-embroidered cover art by David Blaeser.The zine is edited by David, with additional contributions from fellow book club members.
Book Club at the End of the World launched in 2025. Two issues were published that year and issues are planned on a quarterly schedule going forward. Print copies can be requested.
David Blaeser is a home economics teacher, writer, and textile artist whose interests include classic science fiction, reading practices, zines and material approaches to culture. Book Club at the End of the World is his ongoing long‑form fan project.
